Database magazine award for Mineset
- Silicon Graphics was named one of 12 "Companies to Watch in 1997" for
"showing the industry an exciting new way to experience data
analysis" by DATABASE Programming and Decision Magazine
Knowledge Discovery Cup: Bronze Miner Award
- Silicon Graphic's Inc. MineSet software was awarded the Bronze Miner
Award in the Knowledge Discovery Cup. Forty five companies participated
in the competition of those only sixteen submitted results. While the
primary evaluation criteria were lift and accuracy, it was clear that
the MineSet model was the most comprehensible.
